GIRL TALK LOUNGE
Girl Talk Lounge is a monthly workshop that focuses on different topics to engage girls in open dialogue, and fun activities to empower girls to make positive choices. Most adolescent girls face unbelievable pressure on a daily basis therefore, GTL is utilized as an outlet where girls can express themselves openly in a non-judgmental, positive and empowering atmosphere.

Mentoring
Mentor-ship is important because it provides guidance, support and encouragement aimed at developing a girls confidence, self esteem and character.
Studies have shown that mentoring programs decreases:
Teen pregnancy
School drop out
Gang activity
Drug use/Alcohol use
Reduce depressive symptoms
Criminal behaviors
Low educational expectations/lack of plans for educational future
Mentor-ship reassures girls that their is someone who cares about them, and they do not have to face life challenges alone.
